This dish is unique as it used apple as one of the main ingredients. It is an easy and quick to make curry. And it would definitely taste great. Try it!
Apple (Peeled and cubed) – 2
Oil – 2 tbsp
Bay Leaf – 1
Green Chilli – 2 (chopped)
Cinnamon Stick – 1 inch piece
Green Cardoman (slightly opened) – 3
Large Tomato -2 (blanched and pureed)
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Seed Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 pinch
Salt – to suit taste
Finely chopped Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
Heat the Oil in a pan. Add Bay Leaf, Cinnamon Stick and Cardamom and Green Chilies. Stir cook for a few seconds.
Add the Tomato Puree, Chilli Powder, Coriander Seed Powder, Salt and Turmeric Powder. Cook them for 3 to 4 minutes in medium flame.
Add peeled and diced Apples and ½ cup of water.
Simmer till the Apple pieces are cooked well.
If you want the gravy to be thin, add more water instead of ½ cup. I made it thick.
Add the Coriander Leaves. Mix well.
Transfer to a serving bowl.
