This hassle free Banana fry is an ideal side dish to go with Curd Rice, Sambar Rice, Dal Rice etc.
Raw Banana – 2 Nos
Oil – 1 tbsp
Cumin Seed (Jeera) – 1 tsp
Green Chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Amchur Powder (Dry Mango Powder) – 1 tsp
Coriander (Dhania) Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric (Haldi) Powder – 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Peel Off the outer skin of the Raw Bananas.
Cut into medium thick round slices and soak in water immediately (If not, the color of the cut Bananas would change).
Heat Oil in a pan and add Jeera. When it crackles, add Green Chilli.
Sauté for a few seconds. Add the sliced Bananas after removing from water. Add Salt and Turmeric Powder.
Stir well, cover with a lid and cook for 3 to 4 minutes in low to medium flame till the Bananas are almost 75 % done. Stir in between.
Add all the dry powders, mix well so that all the Banana Rounds are coated with the powder evenly. Mix gently.
Cover and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes in low flame till it attain a dry consistency.
