Bottle Gourd (Doodhi) -300 Gms (cut into small pieces)
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard Seed – ½ tsp
Cumin Seed – ½ tsp
Green Chilli – 2 slitted
Red Chilli – 2 (broken)
Turmeric Powder – 1/8 tsp
Salt to taste
Finely Chopped Cilantro (Dhania Leaves)- 2 Tbsp
Heat the Oil in a pan. Add Mustard and Cumin Seed; allow it to crackle. Add the Red Chilli and the Green Chilli. Stir for a few seconds.
Add the Bottle Gourd pieces. Mix well. Cover with a lid and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes till the Bottle Gourd becomes soft stirring in between.
Add Chopped Cilantro.
If the Bottle Gourd has ripened a little, sprinkle 2 to 3 tbsp of water and cook.
