When we make so many varieties of juices in summer, we do relish Lassi also- sweet or savory Indian drink made from a yogurt or buttermilk base with water. We can combine the seasonal food Mango with this Lassi to make a very tasty Mango Lassi. We will see how to make this Indian Lassi.
Mangoes – 2 (washed and peeled and cut into pieces)
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Curd (Yogurt) – 1 cup
Chilled Milk – 2 cup (or cold water)
Pistachios – to garnish
Mango Chunks – to garnish
Rose Syrup – few drops
Blend the Mangoes and Sugar till smooth. Add Milk and Yogurt and blend again for few seconds.
Pour this Lassi in serving glasses garnished with pistachios and Mango Chunks. Add few drop of Rose syrup also.
Enjoy the thick, smooth and delicious Mango Lassi.
I like thick Lassi. But, you can make it thin by increasing the quantity of water or milk. You can also use Jaggery instead of Sugar. Adjust quantity of Sugar or Jaggery based on the sweetness of the Mango.
