Home Made Fruit Popsicle / How to make three easy Ice Popsicles at home

Popsicles are  Italian dishes – basically ice made with fruit pulp and made more tasty with dry fruits etc. It is easy to make them at home itself. We are going to see three types of Popsicles made with Mango, Water Melon and Plums. Go and get a popsicle mold. If you do not have one, you can use paper cups or small glasses. You can fill it up, wrap with Aluminium foil, insert the Popsicle stick and you are ready to go. Try to make these Popsicles at home and let us know,

1. Let us start with Mango Popsicle

Ingredients :

Mangoes – 2 (Select sweet less fibrous Mango)

Boiled and then chilled Milk – 1cup

Honey or Sugar – 2 tbsp (Optional)

Green Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp (optional)

Method:

Peel the Mangoes, cube them and freeze them first.

Now, take the frozen Mango Cubes in a blending jar. Add all other ingredients. Blend them well.

Pour  the blended liquid into Popsicle molds. Close it with the mold cover and insert the popsicle sticks. Allow the stick to touch the bottom of the mold and then take it out a little. 

If you do not have popsicle mold, use small paper cups or glasses, cover them with Aluminium foil, insert the sticks just piercing the foil in the center.

2. Let us start making the Water Melon cum Plums Popsicle.

Ingredients :

Water Melon – diced and deseeded – 1 bowl.

Sugar – 2 tbsp (optional)

Black Salt – 1 pinch

Plums – 2 Nos (thinly sliced)

Method:

Blend the Watermelon, Sugar and Black Salt to a very smooth texture. Strain it thru a sieve. (it is optional to sieve it. You can use without straining also). Pour the blended liquid into the Popsicle mold. Add the sliced plum slices to them. Cover with the mold cover, insert the

Popsicle sticks as explained earlier.

3. Let us start making the Jackfruit Popsicle.

Ingredients :

Jackfruit Bulbs (Deseeded and cut into pieces) – 12

Milk – 1 cup

Condensed Milk – 2 tbsp

Finely chopped Jackfruit Bulb – 3 to 4 tbsp (optional)

Method:

Take the Jackfruit pieces and half the Milk in a blender and blend it to a fine puree. . Add the remaining Milk and blend for another 30 seconds. You can adjust the texture by adding little water or milk as required.

Pour the mixture in Popsicle molds. Add the Jackfruit pieces in them and stir lightly. Cover with the mold lid and insert the popsicle sticks as explained first.

Now, common for all:

Freeze the molds or the paper cups or the small glasses in freezer for 6 to 8 hours.

Take them out and dip it in water for just a few seconds. Now, wiggle out the Popsicles.

The tasty delicious Fruit Popsicles are ready. Try and let us know.
