Okra (Bhindi) – 300 Gms
Chilli Powder – 1 ½ tbsp
Cumin Seed (Jeera) Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander (Dhania) Powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric (Haldi) Powder – ¼ tsp
Dry Mango Powder (Amchur) – ½ tsp
Dry Roasted Rice Flour Or Chickpea Flour (Besan) – 1 tbsp
Onion – 2 sliced
Oil – 2 tbsp
Wash the Bhindi well. Drain and spread on a dry cloth. Pat it dry.
Cut off the crown and tip of the Bhindi and discard. Cut the Bhindi into thin long strips.
Take the Bhindi pieces in a broad vessel. Add all the powders and the Rice Flour or Chickpea flour. Mix evenly. Allow to rest for five minutes and mix again.
Heat Oil in a pan and add the sliced onion.
Sauté till it becomes pink. Add the Bhindi. Stir cook on low to medium heat till it becomes crisp.
It goes well with Rice as well as Indian Breads.
